Not agree? Well, let's see if you hold your disbelief against him any longer.
Mr Singh, when compared to former PMs, stands the best when we see what he has done for the Indian People and Democracy and, especially; Indian Economy.
Mr Nehru laid the foundation to raise national prestiege to international level, and besides industrial advancement, he ideolised 'Panchshil' and 'Gutnirpekshta' doctrines, which consolidated Indian State's authority over subsequent doctrines. India became a land of great theses, concepts, dogmas, principles, theories, doctrines, and what not.
NEHRU WAS A VISIONARY POLITICIAN.
Mr Lal Bahadur Shastri, in his short tenure, proved that he was a brave Prime Minister, and in spite of odds (read neighbours) a PM could damn well be bold, decisive and tough.
SHASTRI WAS A LION-HEARTED POLITICIAN.
Mrs Indira Gandhi was truly Iron-lady. She had ambitions of making India powerful. Despite some disputed decisions, she was really in power all the time and her bold decision showed in the making of Bangladesh and Pokharan-I.
INDIRA WAS ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL WORLD LEADER INDIA EVER HAD.
Mr Rajiv Gandhi initiated some radical changes in governance and politics. He used the government as a tool to development. It was one of his great researches that only 16 Paise out of a Rupee reaches down the people. He also showed how useful it is to tour abroad with one's family; that too when you are the Prime Minister: bcz it helped one to stay young and energetic. He also taught us that a PM should not cut himself aloof from different adventures like flying a jet, dodging the security for the sake of fun, discovering the beauty of Italy and Switzerland especially, and sitting side by side with Gorbachev, Regan and Benazir. Don't forget those other games which I didn't refer here.
HE WAS THE FINE DIPLOMAT TO MAINTAIN EQUAL EFFINITY AND CORDIAL RELATIONSHIP WITH RUSSIAN AND AMERICAN, CHINESE AND PAK LEADERS.
HE FORESAW THE HUGE I.T. POTENTIAL THAT LAY DORMANT WITHIN SMART INDIAN BRAINS.
Mr Narsimha Rao was a man of letters, he was the Pitamah and Chanakya of tough India Polity. By reopening the Hawala case, He showed, how can you kill two birds with one stone (read all opposition) and still manage to be known as a scholar person, still write books and sleep after the Mosque was blown down.
HE MANAGED TO SUSTAIN TWO DOZEN SCAMS AND STILL STAYED OUT OF JAIL. WE CANNOT UNDERMINE THIS LESSON. MR LALOO, HOWEVER, SHOULD HAVE LEARNED FROM HIM.
